Trent D. Merrill

Trent Merrill is a founder and a principal of Triple R Group. Prior to that, Trent was in key leadership and management roles with some of the most significant retail organizations in the U.S., guiding many of those companies through aggressive expansions and managing operations and real estate portfolios for those companies in both robust and recessionary times. He has managed the real estate expansions of various companies into Canada, Western Europe, Asia and the United States.

Trent spent 10 years as the Senior Vice President of Liz Claiborne in charge of Real Estate, Construction and Design. During his tenure at Liz he was responsible for the management of all real estate matters including related entities for Juicy Couture, Lucky Brand, Kate Spade, Jack Spade, Sigrid Olsen, Mexx, Dana Buchman, Liz Claiborne, Kensie, prAna, Elisabeth, Laundry by Shelli Segal and Ellen Tracy.

Trent led the real estate expansions for these companies, sometimes totaling over 125 new locations per year. He has been responsible for securing all commercial and retail locations that helped to increase company sales and profits while significantly enhancing brand awareness and company presence.

Prior to Trent’s position with Liz, he was the Executive Vice President and part owner of Lucky Brand Jeans. Trent also structured and negotiated the sale of Lucky Brand to Liz Claiborne in 1999. Prior to that, Trent was the Executive Vice President of Pour le Bebe, Inc. (Baby Guess). Before Baby Guess, Trent was Co-Managing Partner of Stonefield Josephson, a regional CPA Firm specializing in the apparel and retail industries. Additionally, Trent is a Founder and Director of American Business Bank continues to serve on the bank’s Board of Directors.
